Welcome to SETXPlaygroup, a division of Whole Mothering Center designed to
offer local mothers a chance to get out and meet other local moms & kids!

SETXPlaygroup is run through a Yahoo Group online. This format makes it easy for our
mothers to keep in touch and for the Moderating Staff to plan and stay organized. We
offer weekly play-dates and other events for SETX moms and their families, with plenty of
opportunities for making new local friends.

Most of us are as excited about the prospect of adult interaction as we are about our kids
having playmates, so that's a big part of this group. We plan weekly daytime play-dates
every Wednesday and various other group events like play dates for school-aged children a
couple of times a month from 4PM - 6PM, a monthly Mom's night out (nursing babies
always welcome), family get-togethers, and occasional out of town trips and weekend
play-dates.

Please keep in mind that this is NOT a drop-off playgroup or daycare of any type! All
activities are "mommy & me" style!

Although the group is open to moms of ALL parenting philosophies, we particularly invite
practitioners of attachment parenting philosophies to join our group as you will find other
breastfeeding, babywearing, family bedding, like-minded moms here. Click on the "join this
group" link to request membership and a moderator will review your request as soon as she
can!

We are based in Beaumont, TX and hold all of our weekly meetings in and around
Beaumont, though we are open to adding activities in other local areas if we have enough
moms from that area join the group!
