The Whole Mothering Center is an organization in Southeast Texas acting as a liaison between
trained professionals and expectant mothers and their families. We bring information, education,
resources and support together in one central location to make the transition into parenthood easy
and enjoyable.
We provide a community of support by offering a variety of services, educational programs,
discussion groups and activities for new parents and their families during the antepartum,
intrapartum and postpartum periods to help them negotiate the critical choices they will face during
their journey to becoming a family. Pregnancy, labor and new parenthood are exciting and
challenging life-changing events. We teach women skills which build confidence to help them make
informed decisions.
At the Whole Mothering Center, we believe that the choices you make affect the outcome of your
birth and have a profound effect on your early mothering. It follows that being informed and
prepared for different scenarios you may be faced with is highly beneficial.
Sometimes things don't go exactly as we have planned and that can leave a new mother feeling
isolated and alone. Our community of support is designed to help women cope with unexpected
outcomes in the healthiest and most appropriate way. Having a community of support is important
for all mothers and is crucial for mothers who have had traumatic pregnancy, birthing and early
mothering experiences.
Our staff and associates are dedicated to providing the resources you need to make the best choices
for your family at every step of the way. We look forward to meeting you and working with your new
family!

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting Whole Mothering Café on the second Thursday each month, from 6PM-8PM at The Logon C@fe 3805 Calder in Beaumont. Our next meeting will be Thursday, May 8, 2008 and will feature Houston-area Certified Nurse-Midwife, Pat Jones as our speaker on"Natural Childbirth".
Each Whole Mothering Café event will have a featured speaker or topic, after which we will host a group discussion. We encourage you to join us with a mug of The Logon C@fe's excellent coffee or tea. Whole Mothering Café will be hosted each month, and all women are welcome to come - bring a friend or family member if you like and as always, young children are welcome to attend with you. If you've never been to The Logon C@fe, this is the perfect opportunity to give them a try and meet other area mothers as well.
There is no registration fee and no registration is required, but if you're planning on coming, we'd love to hear from you so we can set up our space.
